    Playground Update

    Dear Harrington Families,

Today I had the chance to talk with students in Grades 1-4 about the playground and was able to show them some pictures of the new playground equipment we will be ordering. They were very excited about some of the new items and we talked about how we will all be a little sad to see our current playground taken down but look forward to the new one.  The students asked some great questions as well!

I will visit Kindergarten next week as well to talk to them about the playground. In the meantime, I will be attending a meeting next Wednesday which will give us a better timeline of when the work will begin. (There was some delay due to the snow) I will let everyone know when we have more details but I expect work will be starting in the next few weeks.

If you have any further questions at this time, please feel free to contact me.

    Have a great weekend!

    Mr. LaCava

The Word of the Week winners for the word “hilarious” were: Fiona Brown-Grade 1; Raj Rane-Grade  2; Oden Barter-Grade 3; and Joshua Seelan-Grade 4. The word this week was “encounter”.

A quick reminder to call in any absences to the main office as soon as possible. You can call and leave a message at any time of day. Also, we are noticing an increasing number of tardy students. Please note that school starts at 8:59 a.m. so please plan accordingly. Thank you!

A letter will be going home on Monday regarding placement for next year for students moving to Grades 1-4 at Harrington.  More details will be in the letter but we welcome the opportunity for families to provide some input to this process. It’s hard to believe we’re talking already about next fall!

So if you have any interest or would like some more information, please come join us at the next PTO meeting or feel free to get in touch with either Jennifer Perry or Marcella Kranz for more information.
