The foundation has now been set so they are done with this phase of the project on the side of the building. There will not be any other work done until the modular units arrive after school gets out. In the meantime, they have begun working on leveling the area in the back of the building for the new playground! As a result, we have moved our outside recess back to the side of the building as there is no construction going on. When the modular units arrive after school gets out, our parking lot will be closed off until they are placed on the foundation. I will continue to keep you updated each week or if something come up will let you know right away about any changes/updates you should know about.
We had a successful few days of Kindergarten screening for our incoming K students. It was nice to welcome all of our new families and look forward to seeing them in the fall!

The Harrington PTO is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s Harrington School Scholarship. There were 23 applications this year, and the choice was difficult! The scholarship is awarded to former Harrington students who are graduating from CHS with plans to attend a 2 or 4 year college. Applicants must write a short essay about their favorite Harrington memory, provide a transcript, and delineate volunteer and community activities they are involved in.
The 2017 winners are Laura Kate Magnuson and Michael Shea. Both are outstanding students, they have volunteered quite a bit in the community, and they both have plans to attend college in the fall. Laura’s favorite memory of Harrington is from 2nd grade when they wrote pen pal letters throughout the school year and then eventually met their pen pals. She has volunteered this year in Mr. Wurtzler’s class and helped this year’s students compose those same letters. Michael’s favorite memory was when the 4th grade opened a time capsule from a previous 4thgrade class and found many historical documents about the school and Chelmsford. He really enjoyed making a personal time capsule when he was a Harrington student, and he is looking forward to opening it with his family before the CHS graduation ceremony.
Congratulations scholarship winners! The entire Harrington community wishes you the best in your future endeavors. Big thanks to Barbara DeFreitas, Justyn Thoren, and Jen Perry for your work on the Scholarship Committee! It is greatly appreciated!
Please keep clipping those box tops, they greatly benefit our school!!
Last and final collection will be June 19! Thank you
