Byam School Announcements

  • Winter Concert:  The Byam/Center 4th Grade Winter Concert will be held on Wednesday, December 17th.  The event will be in the Chelmsford High School Performing Arts Center at 7:00 pm.  The choruses will be performing individually, followed by a combined orchestra performance.  Students are encouraged to wear their festive clothing.  The Byam and Center students will conclude the concert by performing together.
State House Performance:  The Byam Fourth Grade students will be traveling to the State House in Boston on Monday, December 22, 2014.  Following a tour of the State House, the students will performing a concert on the grand staircase.  We invite family members to meet us at the State House to enjoy the concert, which will begin at approximately 11:15 AM.  This is a very special opportunity for our fourth grade students to represent our school and the Town of Chelmsford during the holiday season.  We will be performing in front of our state representatives and several government officials.  While this 4th grade trip has been a yearly tradition at the other elementary schools, this will be the first year that the Byam School attends this event.  We look forward to making wonderful memories this year, and setting the tone for what will become a great annual Byam tradition.

The Power of One:  This month Byam had an anti-bullying presentation called the Power One visit the school.  This interactive performance is a series of skits that portray different kinds of bullying and empower students to be a part of the solution.  Everyone can have the "Power of One" to make a difference.  The performance was enjoyed by our students and echoed many of the important core values that we talk about in PRIDE.  This program was generously funded by the Byam School Association.
