Dear Byam Families,
As summer begins, I want to take a moment and thank you for a wonderful school year. Thank you for sharing your children with us each day. The personalities, talents and the enthusiasm they bring to school make Byam a special place to learn and grow. Thank you for all your involvement that means so much to the fabric of our school. Your partnership and support is truly appreciated. I want to acknowledge the important work our staff engaged in all year to create a positive learning environment that supports student progress. We wish the best of luck to our students and families who are moving on. You will be missed but I know you are off to great things. I also want to welcome our new students and families to Byam for the upcoming school year. Enjoy all the special moments that summertime brings and we will see you in September.

NOTES FROM THE NURSE
Pick Up of Medications All medications need to be picked up from the Nurse’s Office on the last day of school. Medication can only be returned to a parent or another responsible adult. Although it is an early release day, the health office will be open from 8am – 4pm that day for your convenience. Items not picked up by 4pm on Friday, June 17 will be disposed of per district policy. Thank you for your cooperation.
Asthma, Diabetes, Allergy, Seizure (and Other) Health Plans with Medication Requirements If your child has asthma, diabetes, an allergy which requires an Epipen, seizure, or other medical condition that requires special care or medication, each school year the condition related health form must be completed and returned to the health office by the first day of school.
Forms may be found on the school website under "Nurses Office" then "Health Forms." Medication for school use must be turned in to the health office by a parent or responsible adult and not by your child. Please make sure all forms are completed, front and back sides. If you have any questions, please contact the nurse during school hours.

Please keep this in mind when making appointments over the summer for physicals. Incoming 3rd graders should have a physical dated January 2016 to December 2016 and a copy needs to be submitted to the health office by December 2016.
