"PLUS" BLOCK for PARENTS (Parent Link/Unique Seminars) 

Please join us for our first parent seminar on Monday, December 14 from 6:30-8:00 pm in the CHS Learning Commons (Library).  Our guest speaker, Robert Siciliano will speak about "Securing Your Digital Life; Social Media Security and Identity Theft Prevention".  Our digital lives have opened the door to a Pandora of issues that must be addressed head on. Today's cyberworld is a fast and frantic environment in which even America's youth has a hard time keeping up with. As our lives move back and forth between the physical to virtual worlds, we must understand what the implications are and how it affects us now and our children in the future. In this seminar learn how to stay of top of what is new, and ahead of what is next in the digital world.

Understand social media and its impact on students lives.
What is considered responsible use?
Risks associated with "too much information".
How social media impacts their futures.
How to partner with your student for safety.
How to prevent social media identity theft.
Understanding basic computer security and identity theft prevention.

FLU CLINIC UPDATE!

If your child is ill with a fever of 100.0 or more and a cough or sore throat, a call to the high school nurse's office or an email is required.  This will allow nurses to monitor influenza like absences in the school.  Students may return to school when there has been no fever (without use of Tylenol or ibuprofen) for 24 hours.  Please send a note with your child upon return to school.

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) announced the accountability status and Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) determinations under the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) for all schools in the Commonwealth.
