Dear CPS 6th-8th Grade Band Musicians,
This email is to remind you that this Friday evening is our annual CHS Band Night event! All CPS 6th-8th grade band members are invited to join the CHS Band for a halftime performance at the varsity football game at Simonian Alumni Stadium. The following is a reminder of the schedule, as well as an important checklist of what every member needs for the week.
Family members can attend this event for free! The attached ticket is what you should bring with you on September 14th. You can also find this ticket for download at the CPS Bands Website.

WHAT TO BRING:
Warm clothing (Chelmsford colors preferred!)
Dinner (if you are not having pizza) and money for concessions (optional).
If you would like to take part in a pizza dinner, please bring $5 in a sealed envelope with your name on it to school by Thursday, September 13.
Sheet Music: Find it on the CHS Band Night link on https://www.chelmsford.k12.ma.us/cpsbands (“Louie Louie” and “25 or 6 to 4”)
Medical Form: Your child must have an updated Non-School Hours Health Directive filled out for this event. The form is available on the CPS Bands Website. Parents will have to make arrangements for their students to have their medications they may need with them. This form is PAST DUE at this point, so please send this to school with your child tomorrow.
Location: CHS Band Field (NEW LOCATION: take the Graniteville Road/Field entrance behind the PAC!)
3:30 – Report Time (McCarthy Band Students will have the opportunity to walk over to CHS with Miss Lacasse- please be sure to report directly to the band room after school. If parent helpers could volunteer to transport heavy instruments, that would be great!)
4:00-5:30 - Rehearsal at the Band Field
5:30-6:15 – Dinner in CHS Cafeteria 1
6:30 - Middle School students depart for stadium with MS directors
7:00 – Game time
7:30 – 7:45 (approx.) - Halftime
After the halftime performance: All students/directors/families return to the Performing Arts Center to put their instruments in cases and gather personal belongings. Students will be dismissed immediately from the PAC at this time. Parents will assume responsibility of their children directly following halftime. We appreciate your help with this, as directors will be running the rest of the pep band performance in the stands with the high school band.
