The NAMM Foundation recognizes the Chelmsford Public Schools for its outstanding commitment to music education with a Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) designation. Chelmsford is one of 4% of districts across the nation receiving the prestigious award in 2017. This is Chelmsford’s fifth consecutive year receiving NAMM’s Best Communities for Music Education designation!
CHS Theater Guild State Finalist in the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild One Act Play Festival!
Each year the Resiliency Students at Chelmsford High School hold a dance and create a fundraising page to raise money for The Jimmy Fund/Dana-Farber.
This year, many of Chelmsford’s band, chorus, and orchestra students have worked diligently with their ensemble and private lesson teachers to prepare for state-level music events, including the MMEA’s Northeast District, Junior District, and All-State Festivals. The talent and drive of these students is consistently demonstrated through the sheer numbers of students who are accepted each year, and this year has produced another crop of successful auditions!
At the school committee meeting of July 19, 2016, representatives of Dore & Whittier reviewed the attached presentation with draft short-term solutions for implementing full-day kindergarten. The Chelmsford School Committee has scheduled a community input session on Tuesday August 2, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chelmsford Public Schools Administration Offices located at 230 North Road to solicit input and answer questions from interested members of the community.
