Chelmsford High School to Host ACA-POCALYPSE Event Featuring The Thursdays, The Crescendos, and Several Other Groups
CHELMSFORD, MA – ACA-POCALYPSE is a two-day a cappella event that will be held on April 9th & 10th, 2020 at 7PM on both nights. This event will feature amazing a cappella groups from throughout the Boston area and will be held at the Carl J. Rondina Performing Arts Center at the Chelmsford High School. Northeastern University's 2019 ICCA finalist, Pitch, Please! is the headliner for both shows. Master classes and workshops taught by Northeastern University’s Pitch, Please! will also be available to a cappella enthusiasts on Friday, April 10th.
Chelmsford’s own a cappella groups, The Crescendos and The Thursdays, will perform at both shows. The Crescendos advanced to the Semifinal round of the International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) in 2019 while earning individual awards in arranging and vocal percussion. They were recently featured on Acaville Radio’s Vocal Perspective podcast. The Thursdays have represented the Northeast region in the ICHSA finals three times and will advance to the 2020 Semifinals in March. They were a winning group on season 4 of Sing That Thing! on WGBH.
